The cycle choices are not simply speed settings. They change how the Mr Blue 2.0 feels and machines the lens.
- Milling cycle: recommended for lenses with a hydrophobic coating, suitable for all materials except glass; the edger feels the contour twice, then performs four feeling operations every 90°.
- 2 stars Cycle: available for all materials and described as a more sophisticated cycle dedicated to thin or hydrophobic lenses.
- Standard cycle: available for all types of material.
The correct lens material must still be selected separately because the configuration of the edging cycle depends on it. Choosing a cycle does not replace material selection, and the manual warns that an incorrect material choice may damage the lens.
