What bevel height can I set on the Essilor Mr Blue 2.0?

The answer

For an automatic bevel, the Mr Blue 2.0 accepts a height from 0.30 to 0.75 mm, with a default of 0.75 mm. If you need less than 0.75 mm, adjust the bevel directly on the edging screen.

The automatic bevel height is constrained by the machine rather than being an unrestricted numeric entry. The default is the maximum automatic value.

  • Default: 0.75 mm
  • Minimum: 0.30 mm
  • Maximum: 0.75 mm

To use a lower bevel, call up the shape, leave the bevel finish selected, press the controls for bevel height, and enter or select a value within the permitted range. The manual describes this adjustment for automatic beveling; it does not say that values outside the range are accepted.

This setting is separate from the shelf-bevel and flat-side values used for High-base bevel and Step bevel. Those finishes have different ranges and should not be adjusted through the automatic bevel-height control.
