Re-scan automatically detects deviated or missing data caused by a blink or fixation movement and scans it again, but it can be set only for the 3D and 3D Wide scan patterns.

Re-scan is not a general repeat button for every OCT pattern. It is intended for a 3D acquisition in which the patient's blink or fixation movement leaves part of the tomogram deviated or missing. When enabled, the Triton automatically detects the affected data and scans it again.
The manual explicitly limits the setting to 3D and 3D Wide. It therefore does not become available for Line, 5 Line Cross, or Radial simply because the patient moved. If the setting selector is absent or unavailable after choosing one of those patterns, that is the documented limitation rather than a fault.
For 3D acquisitions, confirm the setting in the capture-icon protocol. The table lists 3D: Macula, 3D: Optic disc, and 3D Wide (H); the manual also notes that 3D Wide includes the combination scans 3D + Line, 3D + 5Line Cross, and 3D + Radial.
