Press the NIDEK TONOREF II manual mode button during measurement to turn off both auto-tracking and auto shot, manually align and focus the eye, and press the start button. Manual mode ends when you press the manual mode button again, clear, print, or switch between R/K and NT measurement.

This mode is useful when automatic alignment cannot find an eye or when the corneal vertex is displaced from the pupil center. The manual mode button turns off both functions together, although it also works when only auto shot is enabled. Manual mode is temporary: pressing the button again, CLR, the print button, or changing the measurement part returns the device to its previous state.
